You know I didn’t really want kids because I wanted my time, travel, freedom and I didn’t want to do all that housework, getting up at night, etc. But finally I went for it because my husband really wanted kids and I didn’t want to regret anything. I just decided to stop thinking about it and go for it. And I agree with some of the comments below — it’s totally different once you actually have the kid (and that kids starts sleeping through the night)! Now I LOVE my kid and couldn’t imagine life without him because he is so awesome, wonderful, funny, cute, loving… it’s indescribable. You give up a lot, but get a lot in return. Even if you are not a kid person, you will LOVE your own kid. It’s just biological. And yes your career may suffer in some ways, but let me tell you once you have a kid you really learn how to FOCUS and get shit done quickly. No more 12 hour days. Anyway, that’s my two cents.
